PA Attorney General Josh Shapiro just announced the launch of a Track and Trace initiative in PA. The goals are to encourage more jurisdictions to join E-trace and data share, get more dealers using electronic records, a working group of local, state and federal partners on tracing crime guns, and public education about straw purchases and safe storage. This is a critical tool. We need to know where the guns are coming from, how they move within and out of the Commonwealth, and how long it takes for a legal gun to become a crime gun. We hope soon PA will join the list of states with important crime trace data reports that are publicly accessible. #TrackTrace
