On Wednesday the U.S. House continued their historic leadership in Washington by passing three gun violence prevention bills out of committee.
One bill would provide federal grants as incentives for states to enact Extreme Risk Protection Orders. The second bill would ban high capacity magazines. The third bill would make individuals convicted of misdemeanor hate crimes prohibited purchasers of firearms.
We would like to thank Judiciary Committee members Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon and Rep. Madeliene Dean for supporting these bills and their commitment to ending gun violence in America.
All three bills are waiting for a vote on the House floor. Call your Congressperson and urge them to support these life-saving pieces of legislation.
