Last week, during a rally in the Capitol for “Second Amendment Day,” speakers repeatedly lied about what the Extreme Risk Protection Order bill would do.
They called it a “gun confiscation” bill. These are blatant lies. They know this type of law, which 15 other states have and many more are considering this session, creates a civil court process to temporarily bar those at risk of harming themselves or others from accessing firearms.
They also know that HB 1075, the ERPO bill pending in the House, has strong due process protections built in. Help us stop their lies and get an important tool for Pa families to have to keep their loved ones safe during times of crisis. Please ask your Rep. to cosponsor the ERPO bill today.
